17일 북부동 행정복지센터와 경산시자원봉사센터는 ‘쓰레기 무단투기 방지 캠페인’ 전개를 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
협약에 따라 자원봉사센터 소속 학생 학생자원봉사단(아띠·온새미로)은 1인 가구 비율이 높고 쓰레기 발생 민원이 빈번한 영남대학교 원룸 밀집 지역을 중심으로 ‘쓰레기 무단투기 방지 캠페인’을 전개한다.
봉사단은 올바른 쓰레기 배출 방법을 지역 주민에게 홍보하고 주요 쓰레기 배출 장소를 상시 점검하는 활동도 해나갈 계획이다.
안병숙 북부동장은 “간편식과 배달 음식을 선호하는 1인 가구가 밀집된 북부동은 일회용품 배출 및 쓰레기 무단투기에 취약할 수밖에 없는 지역.”이라며, “경산시자원봉사센터 학생 봉사단이 지역 환경 개선 운동에 힘써줘서 감사하고 북부동은 행정적으로 도울 수 있는 일을 최대한 돕겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
김상우 경산시자원봉사센터 소장은 “두 기관이 이번 협약을 통해 유기적으로 협력하여 활동이 원활히 추진되기를 바란다.”라고 전했다.
