시 울림 학교를 운영하는 하양초등학교(교장 박순자)가 20일부터 동시 작품 전시회를 열고 있다.

전시 작품들은 지난 6월부터 2~6학년을 대상으로 개최한 동시 쓰기 대회에서 선정된 우수작이다. 학교, 친구, 선생님, 나의 가족, 꿈과 희망 등을 주제로 학생들이 직접 경험한 내용을 시로 표현하여 공감의 폭이 넓다.
하양초는 2020년부터‘시 울림 학교’를 운영하고 있다.
학사달력에 ‘한 편의 시’를 월별로 게시하고, 시소 TV 콘텐츠 시청뿐만 아니라 동시집 읽기, 나만의 시 작품 만들기, 시집 발간, 시가 있는 교직원 연수회 등의 활동을 통해서 표현력 및 예술적 감수성을 높이고 아름다운 심성을 가꾸어나가고 있다.
또한 ‘행복한 꿈을 꾸는 詩 정원’ 만들기 학교로 선정되어 학생들이 시를 즐길 수 있는 학교 환경을 조성하고 있다.
하양초 ‘시 울림 학교’운영을 담당하는 이지현 교사는 “동시 암송 등 ‘시 울림 학교’ 활동을 통해 학생들이 발표에 대한 자신감을 가지고 일상생활 속에서의 언어 사용에도 긍정적인 변화가 있는 등 교육 효과가 크다.”고 말했다.
