양재영 경산시의원(더불어민주당)이 경산 관내 기업 및 업체들의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 경산시 차원의 지원을 촉구했다.
양 의원은 28일 오전 11시에 열린 제240회 정례회 제2차 본회의에서 ‘우리 것은 우리가 챙기자’란 제목으로 5분발언을 했다.
그는 “경산시는 늘 기업하기 좋은 도시라고 말하지만, 관내 업체의 물품 구매 등 집행부의 노력이 부족한 실정.”이라며, “관내 기업들이 경쟁력 있는 기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 경산시 차원의 기준 마련과 적절한 시장개입이 필요하다.”고 촉구했다.
양 의원은 “같은 스펙의 지역 제품이 타 지역 제품보다 가격과 효율이 조금 부족해도 과감하게 설계에 반영하는 것이 지역 업체와 경산시의 성장에 도움이 되는 일.”이라며,
“조현일 시장이 좀 더 적극적으로 제조업체와 직원, 시민들을 위한 기준을 세워 지역 업체를 지원할 때, 우리 지역 업체들이 전국에 내놓아도 떳떳한 품질, 경쟁력 있는 가격을 내세울 수 있는 기업으로 거듭날 것.”이라고 강조했다.
