경북향토사연구회, 경산에서 정기총회
향토경북 20회 출판 기념하고 회원 교류의 기회 가져

경북향토사연구회(회장 김태호)는 지난 15일 오전 10시 경산시립박물관 강당에서 ‘향토경북 20회 출판기념회 및 2023년 정기총회’를 가졌다.

이날 행사에는 조현일 시장, 김계태 경산시의원, 향토경북 집필진, 회원 등이 참석해 향토경북 20회 출판을 축하하고 상호 교류의 시간을 가졌다.

김태호 회장은 “서로 지역을 달리하는 회원들의 모임이 경북향토사연구회이기 때문에 오늘과 같은 모임의 기회를 통해서 상호 교류의 시간을 자주 가졌으면 좋겠다.”라고 말했다.

조현일 시장은 환영사를 통해 “지역의 역사를 연구하고 배우는 것은 지역 사랑과 나라 사랑의 첫걸음.”이라며, “경북향토사연구회의 행사가 경산에서 열림을 환영한다.”고 전했다.

지난 1987년 조직된 경북향토사연구회는 도내 23개 시·군 향토사학자들을 중심으로 활동하고 있으며 ‘향토경북’ 발간, 학술발표회, 연찬회 등을 통해 지역의 역사와 문화를 알리는 역할을 하고 있다.
