압량읍 용암리 진입로 확장 개통
상습정체구간 200m 확장하고 전용차로 등 신설

경산시는 지난 19일 상습정체구간인 압량읍 용암리 진입로를 확장 개통했다.
용암리 진입로는 지방도 919호선과 연결되는 교통 요충지로 용암리 방면에서 경산 및 대구로 진입하는 좌회전 차량과 진량IC 방면으로 우회전하는 차량 통행량이 많아 출·퇴근 시간 교통 혼잡이 극심하고 이로 인해 인근 주민들도 불편을 많이 겪고 있는 곳이었다.
시는 총 공사비 6억 5,000만원을 들여 진입부 200m 구간에 진량 방향 우회전 전용차로를 신설하고, 경산 및 대구 방향의 좌회전차로 수를 늘려 기존 왕복 2차로(B=8m)에서 왕복 4차로(B=13m)로 확장했다.
용압리 진입로 확장으로 출·퇴근 시 교통 체증 해소, 산업 물동량의 원활한 소통, 인근 주민들의 교통편의 등이 크게 향상될 것으로 기대된다.
시 관계자는 “확포장 공사는 시민들의 불편 해소와 편의 증진을 위해 추진된 사업이며, 앞으로 잔여 구간도 확장해 시민들의 요구를 적극 반영할 예정.”이라고 밝혔다.
